Roisin O Meadhra     Painter

Since these early years Róisín’s career has progressed and has been as colourful as her paintings. She has worked in film and television, theatre, Interior Design and teaching.  However she has always returned to painting as a true form of expressing her imagination and her view of the world

Róisín now lives by the sea in Wicklow and draws inspiration from the surrounding wildlife and landscape.

Originally from Cork, RóisÍn’s childhood was spent painting, drawing, and doing all types of crafty things taught to her by her mother. When it was time to leave the nest RóisÍn decided to chase her dream and started her artistic journey with a foundation year in Art and Design at Scoil Stiofáin Naofa, Cork. After this transformative year, she then set off to Waterford Institute of Technology  to further her studies in Art with an Ordinary Degree in Applied Art. On moving to Dublin she then studied successfully for a Diploma in Interior Design at The Dublin Institute of Design.

I believe that our imagination is a powerful gift, and when used to its full potential, can help us overcome almost anything in life.“

The Surprise act is a dangerous Lady ! Come if you dare

“Rose Lawless flying the flag for the true spirit of Cabaret “

Irish Independent

Is sort of a rich girl gone wrong . Her pedigree is dark and dramatic , she’s the fallout of an illicit passion between an Irish diplomat’s wife and a revolutionary Hungarian street entertainer . Her life , like her art , is like the international scandal they will never manage to hush up . She sits on a barbed wire fence between heaven and hell and sings her blood red songs of longing and rage . Welcome to the cabaret ! Vive la Liberte! .
